I'm Lauran (she/her), and welcome to my creative studio!
If I could describe myself as a designer, I would say that I basically do a little bit of everything. Whilst I am an illustrator at heart, I love creating layout design, working with typography and taking a project through from start to finish. I would say that I am 'professionally fun' - providing a service of professionalism with a sprinkling of fun to make you experience with me enjoyable.
I have a First-Class degree in Graphic Communication and Illustration from Loughborough University and after a few years of experimenting I have now found my feet. Lauran's Creative Studio is where I hope to grow and provide creativity to businesses everywhere, providing a range of services from graphic design to illustration. I work from my little home studio in Leicestershire, surrounded by tea, snacks and my little cockapoo, Wilf, who is always on hand (paw) for a second opinion.
I am passionate about the work that I do, and the reasons why I do it. I like to use my creative voice to help raise awareness for topics I share a close connection to. I advocate for chronic, rare diseases and use my platform to shine a light on the challenges we face.
I am so full of ideas and I am eager to share them with the world!
Underneath it all is simply a girl who adores art and loves to doodle. I feel so lucky to be pursuing my dreams in the creative industry and I am sure if little Lauran could see where she is now she would be so excited that she gets to draw all day.
In short, I love designing and I love to design for the better good.
