Nobody I'd Rather Bee is a children's book from my final semester at uni. The book opens conversations with children aged 5-7 about disability. The main character, Bertie, doesn't have wings like the rest of his friends, meaning he can't fly to join the rest of his friends at the top of the flowers. The book focuses on Bertie's strengths and what he's good at. He uses his imagination to imagine a load of fun and exciting ways he could reach the top, such as flying through space or riding a rollercoaster, all whilst helping another bee friend overcome their self-doubt. Bertie shows the fact that people with disabilities can achieve things, and he is a positive role model for all children reading the book.
